Pieta Prayer Candles

The Pieta is one of the most famous sculptures in the world. It is Michaelangelo’s iconic depiction of the body of the Lord in the lap of his mother Mary, right after He is taken down from the cross. The original sculpture resides in the north side chapel of Saint Peter’s Basilica in Rome, an ever present reminder of the sacrifice of Christ and the sorrowful heart of His Mother, perfectly united to her Son. 

Our Pieta prayer candle is hand-poured in a custom mold and lovingly packaged to be a perfect gift item. It too serves as a beautiful, incredibly moving reminder of the intimate connection between suffering and joy in the heart of a mother.
